New Forest, Hampshire

by Seer Oon Hor

It has been a while since I last published a photoblog. British weather has finally turned good after horrific rain and floods. New Forest is a vast forest in Hampshire where horses, ponies, donkeys and cattle are free to roam.

We took the Buckler's Hard walk, a fantastic river-side walk where you can enjoy the beautiful waterside view, boats and gorgeous houses (aka mansions). Walk was just a little boggy but overall very pleasant with cool sunny weather. Boarded walkway in part of the walk made it easier after the wet weather.

After the walk, Sunday lunch at Montagu Arms Hotel! Parking was a nightmare as all the nice cars and bikes were out enjoying the rare-British sunshine. Yummy sunday roast though. We ordered pork and sirloin. Generous portions indeed. Very nicely done roasts. Good variety of sides and crackling was good. Certainly very impressed. Will be back to try their a la carte menu.

We did not have dinner that evening as we had it during lunch! Great day out and fantastic lunch.

Until next time. Take care. Be good.
